Moonlight Paddle at Merrick State Park

Join wildlife biologist Steve Winter and seasoned naturalist Ed Lagace for an educational guided paddle on the Mississippi River. Participants will enjoy a moonlit tour filled with information about local wildlife and the river ecosystem.

Space is limited to the first 25 registered participants. To reserve your spot, email friendsofmerrickstatepark@gmail.com with your full name, phone number, and email address. Rentals are available for $30.
Arrival and Logistics
- Rentals (6:30 p.m.): Check in at the first building after the park entrance to sign the rental agreement, make payment, and collect equipment (paddle, life jacket, and cushion).
- Personal Equipment (7:00 p.m.): Proceed directly to the launch area.
Requirements and Notes
- Safety: Life jackets are required for all paddlers. Bring a flashlight, water, and snacks.
- Vehicle Admission: A 2026 annual sticker or day pass is required for park entry. These can be purchased online, at the entrance building, or at the kiosk.
