All About Wisconsin State Parks

On August 1 at Merrick State Park from 7:00p.m.-8:00p.m. Jim Buchholz will speak on his book “Wisconsin State Parks”.   Jim Buchholz is a freelance author with a passion for the great outdoors. His new book, Wisconsin State Parks, Forests, and Recreation Areas – A Ranger’s Guide, is the culmination of his onsite exploration and photography of all 80 of Wisconsin’s state parks, forests and recreation areas. Jim Buchholz is a dynamic speaker who enjoys sharing engaging stories of Wisconsin’s state parks, forests, and recreation areas with diverse audiences. His presentations are illustrated with scenic photographs from around the state. Audience members can participate in entertaining quiz games that reveal little known facts and trivia about these unique properties. Jim’s book, Wisconsin State Parks, Forests, and Recreation Areas: A Ranger’s Guide, will be available for sale along with a book signing.All programs are sponsored by the Friends of the State of Wisconsin State Parks and Merrick State Park Turtle volunteers. “Your” generous donations are always appreciated at each park program which enable us to help sponsor future programs.
