Founded in 1980, the Buffalo County Historical Society is dedicated to collecting, preserving, and sharing the rich heritage of Buffalo County, Wisconsin. Located in the courthouse in Alma, the Society maintains archives of artifacts, photographs, documents, and local histories. The office is open Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, with other days by appointment. Through exhibits, newsletters, educational programs, and research services, they strive to make local history accessible to residents, students, and visitors alike.
